Which is later on dismissed as being just a confusing mix-up. The first and easiest point is for sure the overheard conversation after you accidentally bump into Ned. I believe her and Ned are definitely in communications. She does a good job of covering it up and trying to redirect you and pool the wool over your eyes but there are a lot of things suspicious about her. Through a lot of the in-game context, and playing through a couple times, you can tell that she tends to make up her story depending on what you ask/tell her. I personally believe that Delilah is a liar. Hi, don't know if anyone is still considering the story, and since this is titled spoilers. There is also a note saying that the research facility has nothing to do with him and the real researchers are not there yet but will arrive on august 10 (or 11th) and that Ned is reminding himself to put back all the equipment that he "borrowed" from them. These papers show that he faked the whole thing. He also explained why he was out there still, that his son died in the cave and he didn't want to go back and talk to the police and he had nothing to go back to so he just stayed out there.Īfter that tape plays you have the chance to enter Ned's hideout and there are papers everywhere. Ned gets on and says "Hey Henry this is Ned." and he explains that he was behind it all and has been out here bored and intercepted the transmissions. The tape is very blunt about what happened. While you climb the rope, H puts the tape into the walkman and you listen to it while you climb up. There is also a tape attached to the rock and you have to grab it in order to climb the rope. When you follow the beacon the second time you get to that rock that has the rock with the name "Henry" on it and an arrow pointing upward. But it was a good game and everything, spot on. I feel like she was holding back on anything with Henry because he has Julia. I think meeting Delilah would have been exciting, even if it wasn't in a romantic way. I know he has a wife and everything but I thought he kinda drifted apart from her because of how things were and stuff, I don't know. If you choose the option to say "come back to Boulder with me" she says no and she kinda hurts Henry when she says that, you can tel by his voice. It bothers me that Delilah does seem to like Henry, makes a cute drawing of him, wishing she was with him and then at the end she just says bye. That wasn't just isolation, they bonded really. Basically throughout the whole game she's flirting with you, and the night the fire started and they were both watching it and stuff. Something that bothered me though is the whole thing with Delilah, I'm a girl, and I'm also not lesbian or anything but I playing as Henry did feel a bond with her. I like the suspense of what's happening, and the plot twist of it actually just being Ned. Imo the characters were great and memorable, incredibly acted too. I don't think their reactions to events or each other was off one bit - really criticism should be directed at the story beats and repetitive visuals if anything. But I thought the relationship was great because it was interesting and the characters were charming and natural - it wasn't a great relationship in another sense, it was pretty faux given that she has a boyfriend and he is just running away from his problems, they only share a few romantic moments. I don't think it was perfect, and bits which I thought were realistic were still disappointing - Like not meeting her, I didn't have a problem with not meeting her - it was why she didn't want to. It wasn't much of a 'real' relationship because of why Henry was there and why she was, and who she was. Like she didn't take him seriously and thought he was on drugs - she can't actually see him and she doesn't know him that well - same for Henry. I don't know what you mean by misdirection, I thought it was fairly clear what was going on - and it was quite realistic given the circumstances of their ''distant'' relationship.
